Love (this) Island

Regular users of Alderstone Road will have noticed the new traffic island. This is of sufficient width to allow a pedestrian and a pram to pause safely during crossing.

The road needed to be widened locally to accommodate the island.

This meant one of the street lights had to be replaced.

The new light emitting diode (LED) streetlight is to West Lothian Council specifications.
